*Taynie is the only supplier that can guarantee these washing temperatures for its period panties without compromising their function and has tested this for over four years.¹
1. wear your Taynie for no longer than 8-12 hours during your period and rinse it out gently with cold water after wearing it. This will prevent any germs and odors from forming. Do not wring, twist or rub! This is gentler on the material.
2. wash your Taynie at 30 - 40 °C if possible. Excessive spin cycles can damage the material (approx. 800 revolutions / min.) Depending on the color of your panties, simply put them in the colored wash or dark wash.
3. it is best to use detergents with the ECO label, such as ECOVER (available at drugstores). Avoid biocides in detergents. According to experts, they have no place in these products and are considered highly harmful to health and the environment.
4. do not tumble dry or iron!
Why natural fibers are not always the best choice
We know that modern environmental protection requires innovative technologies. On the one hand, natural fibers alone would not be able to meet global demand and, on the other hand, it is often forgotten that a lot of water and soil is needed for cultivation. In addition, toxic pesticides are usually used to maximize the yield. This is why we only use "organic cotton" and semi-synthetic viscose from natural and sustainable production. Biodegradable - no pesticides - less microplastics².
1. for on the go, ourTaynie wetbag is ideal.
This small, handy bag allows you to transport your briefs safely, as it securely traps liquids and odors.
2. our briefs are even washable at 60 °C.
However, it is completely sufficient to wash your briefs at 30 - 40 °C. If you suffer from an infection in the genital area, a temperature of 60 °C is recommended. In this case, you should also change your briefs several times a day and combine them with disposable hygiene products if necessary. Either way, we would strongly recommend that you consult a gynaecologist to be on the safe side.
Alternatively or additionally, you can also add sanitizer. However, we advise against this for environmental reasons.
3. do not use fabric softener or bleach!
Standard detergents from the drugstore often contain cationic surfactants, which can damage the protective layer of your taynie and have a highly controversial biocidal effect.
1 Thanks to the materials carefully selected by our textile engineers and our many years of experience, Taynie period panties last for three to four years, even when washed at up to 60 °C. Naturally in the usual Taynie quality. Taynie thus also complies with the recommendations of scientists and medical specialists and avoids the formation of odors and germs without having to use harmful biocides.
